Vintage Lace Beginner-Friendly Crochet Doily Pattern
This elegant circular doily may look like it belongs in a vintage heirloom collection, but it's designed to be simple and accessible — even for beginners. With its delicate lace-like texture and a beautiful, radiating pattern, this project offers a perfect balance between simplicity and detail.

I made this to decorate my study table it took me one complete day to complete approx a 13 to 14 hour project.
Round 1 – ch 8 and join with slip st into a ring, ch 3 and dc 15 into the ring, total 16 dc end with a slst.
Round 2 – ch 3, dc 1 in next, ch 2, (*dc 1 in each next 2 st, ch 2, repeat from )*, slip st in 3rd beginning ch.
Round 3 – ch 3 and dc 1 in same st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, (*dc 2 in next st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, repeat from )*, slip st in 3rd beginning ch
Round 4 – ch 3 and dc 1 in same st, dc 1 in each next 2 st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, *dc 2 in next st, dc 1 in each next 2 st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, repeat from*, slip st in 3rd beg ch.
Round 5 – ch 3, dc 1 in each next 2 st, ch 2, *dc 1 in each next 3 st, ch 2, repeat from*, sl st in 3rd beg ch
Round 6 – ch 3 and dc 1 in same st, dc 1 in each next 2 st, ch 2, dc 1 in each next 2 st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, *(dc 2 in next st, dc 1 in each next 2 st, ch 2, dc 1 in each next 2 st, dc 2 in next st, ch 2, repeat from )*, sl st in 3rd beg ch

You can make it stiff by giving a iron or bleaching it with starch however i like to lightly spay some water give it some shape and then hot press it so it holds that shape. Then you are ready and your pretty doily is almost done !! On a lighter note do Share Your Creations!
